Conservatories

Conservatory1

A conservatory is the ideal way to create extra living space in your home, whilst at the same time providing a natural, elegant extension to your home.
It will transform your lifestyle bringing light and luxury to everyday family living, a room to entertain, play, work and most of all a space to enjoy the beauty of your garden in warmth and comfort all year round.
Adding a conservatory is less expensive and less disruptive to your family life than adding an extension.

At CMG we use a high quality upvc frame from PROFILE 22 (click to read more on frames) that is fully reinforced and manufactured to the highest standards. Our unique structional coupler system for the side panels offer a product with 4 times the strength of a standard transom/mullion welded system. All colours are foiled onto the upvc frame, rather than sprayed, ensuring better durability and excellent weather resistant performance, all of these benefits make your conservatory maintenance free.

Conservatory Glazing Options..

All our conservatories are glazed with toughened safety glass units as standard.

When considering today’s energy efficiency awareness and costs, our conservatories are available with elite high performance glazing options

Aluminium Conservatory – the ultimate choice.

For many years aluminium has been the architects choice and for good reason. From elegant homes to high rise buildings, it is the strength lifetime performance and appearance of aluminium that building professionals rely upon.

In many conservation areas authorities now accept the fully recyclable aluminium framing as a real alternative to the hardwood they have traditionally specified.

Combined with the high performance glass, our state of the art poly – amide thermally broken frames provide outstanding levels of comfort, keeping the heat in during winter and resisting the intense summer sun.

Perhaps the most significant benefit for aluminium conservatories, when compared with uPVC, is the vast colour choice. Aluminium can be coated in any RAL colour using the most up-to-date powder coating process, this ensures a much tougher finish.

Conservatory Styles

Victorian

Conservatory4The Victorian is the most popular style of conservatory, with a versatility that makes it suitable for many house styles. Its distinguishing architectural features, such as a bay front, give a curved appearance and a steeply pitched roof and ornate ridge details give this style of conservatory a more classical appearance.

The Victorian style is available in:

  • three facet – a bay front that has three main windows which give a curved appearance, widely angled for maximum space.
  • five facet – a bay front with five main windows creating a more rounded appearance.

Edwardian

Conservatory5The Edwardian is a flat fronted style that offers excellent use of floor space due to the square or rectangular internal space.

Each side of the roof slopes back to the centre and the resulting contemporary style is suited to the majority of property styles.

Gable

Conservatory6A Gable-fronted style of conservatory adds a sense of grandeur to any home. With a high roof slope and the same floor space as an Edwardian, a Gable offers excellent use of internal space.

The front panel of the roof remains upright rather than sloping back to the centre as on an Edwardian creating a feeling of great height within the conservatory.

Lean-to

Conservatory7The lean-to style is for those who prefer the clean understated lines of a Mediterranean sunroom.

Traditional or contemporary, this style is ideal for properties with limited space under the eaves or an awkward area in which to fit a conservatory. The pitch of the roof is variable, so that a shallow pitch could fit under a low bungalow roof, whilst a steeper pitch would match the roof of a terraced or detached house.

Something Different

For homes that require a larger conservatory a P-shape, T-shape or Lantern style are impressive additions. The P-shape and T-shape conservatories offer a large and versatile floor space. The Lantern style dating back to the orangeries of days gone by is distinguished by the two-tiered feature roof and is a popular choice for swimming pool enclosures.
